A vital organ: its role
The skin, like the heart, is a vital organ carrying out several essential health objectives for our organism.

cting as an interface between our organism and the outside world, its first role is to protect us against physical and chemical aggressions. It also acts as a filter allowing numerous biological exchanges with the exterior and it synthesizes Vitamin D, which is essential for the growth and calcification of bones.

Thanks to the blood vessels that cover the skin and also to the process of sweating, our body temperature remains constant. Our skin is also a sensorial organ and its richness in nerve endings is at the source of touch, the first of our five senses.
